The Authorised Independent Training Provider (AITP) initiative is for independent software training companies that provide technical and certification-based training on IBM products. AITP centres also provide end user and custom training on IBM products to complement their offerings. Through this initiative, IBM delivers quality education services to customers throughout the world.

Selection is based on proven excellence in training, available facilities and equipment, instructor expertise, and geographic coverage. AITP Centres must use networked classroom facilities that meet IBM’s equipment requirements, use IBM Authorised Courseware for all relevant course offerings, and employ Certified Instructors.

The initiative is founded on a strong joint working relationship established between an IBM regional account representative and the AITP. The AITP centres enjoy a close working relationship with IBM and are encouraged to take an active role to grow their education business as well as provide feedback on IBM’s courseware and other education offerings.
